Cabbage Kuttu
Ingredients:
500 gm cabbage
100 gm white onion, sliced
1 tsp mustard seed
1 tsp cumin seed
40 gm garlic, minced
30 gm ginger, minced
8 curry leaves
1 tbsp turmeric powder
50 ml water
2 red and green chillies, sliced
2 tomatoes, cut into wedges
3 tbsp cooking oil
Add salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Sauté the sliced onion, mustard and cumin seeds in 3 tbsp of cooking oil ,until fragrant. Add the minced garlic and ginger. Constantly stir the ingredients until it turns golden brown.
2. Add the cabbage and water. Add the turmeric powder, curry leaves and seasonings and keep stirring.
3. Allow everything to simmer for about a minute or two before putting in the red and green chillies and tomato wedges. Mix thoroughly and serve hot.
